Crustacean
Tycoon

An idle game built at the intersection of three obsessions: Open Claw, Fallout, and Adventure Capitalist. Run an office of AI lobster agents, automate the grind, and prestige your way to bigger multipliers.

Crustacean Tycoon started as a thought experiment: what if the idea behind Open Claw — the fastest-growing open source AI harness ever, where autonomous agents grind on your behalf — got literalized into an office of lobster agents running small businesses? Add a dose of Fallout's retro-terminal warmth for the look, borrow the tap-buy-manager-prestige loop from Adventure Capitalist for the math, and here we are.

You start with a single CSV Parser and climb ten tiers up to a Strategic Planner. Each business scales faster than the last, with milestone doublers along the way. Hire a manager to make a business auto-cycle. Let the orchestrator pick the next best buy for you. Stack 14 upgrades — per-business and global — to bend the curve.

Prestige to reset everything in exchange for a permanent multiplier, and start the next run pointed at a bigger number. Offline earnings (capped at 24 hours) keep the simulation running while you're not looking.

This is the first game I've shipped in Godot, built across a handful of weeks of nights and weekends. The scope is intentionally small — one tight loop, finished, put online — rather than a sprawling campaign.

FAQ

No — Crustacean Tycoon is a fan creation, not affiliated with the Open Claw project. The in-game agents mirror how the harness works — tied to memory, triggered by a heartbeat — just reimagined as lobsters running small businesses. A love letter to the harness and its community.
